Missouri motorcycle helmet Laws

As of 2020, Missouri has passed a new law for motorcycle helmets, which states that both riders and passengers are required to wear a protective helmet.

As per Missouri motorcycle helmet use laws, all riders and passengers are required to wear a protective helmet when they are riding on a motorbike or motor tricycle on any highway in Missouri. Additionally, riders and passengers are required to wear the helmet while the motorbike is in motion.

The helmet must meet all the set specifications and standards that have been established by the State’s Director of Motor Vehicles. Since these specifications and standards are subject to change, it is always advisable for riders to check the rules and regulations before riding a motorcycle in the state of Missouri.

New Missouri’s motorcycle helmet Law went into effect in late August 2020. Governor Mike Parson signed the bill into law, and it went into effect immediately. All motorcyclists were asked to wear a helmet or other protective headgear until the end of this summer.

Motorcycle riders aged 26 and up, on the other hand, will be able to choose whether or not to wear a helmet under the new law’s requirements. Riders must have health insurance that would cover their treatment if they experienced a head injury in such a motorbike accident in order to become eligible to ride without the need for a helmet.

Missouri motorcycle helmet laws are subject to change as state helmet laws across the USA are periodically revised. Click here to check for any changes to Missouri motorcycle helmet laws, as this is the best Missouri state government source for motorcycle helmet laws and regulations we know of.
